Be sure to follow my daily tweets @eggface, my Pinterest page, or Facebook page, if I'm not here I'm on one of those for sure.
Let's do a day in my pouch post. This was yesterday...
Breakfast: Left for the Farmer's Market with a cold Butterscotch Crunch Ricotta Pancake wrapped in a paper towel.
They are surprisingly delicious cold with or without a smear of SF Jam, Peanut or Almond Butter. I had it plain. I also had most of a Strawberry and Cream Oh Yeah RTD throughout the morning.
My Farmer's Market haul: Pluots (about 70% plum 30% apricot), Apples, Onions, Zucchini, Cauliflower (jonesing for Cauliflower Pie again), Strawberries, Blueberries, a few bunches of Herbs, Feta Cheese. I've got cooking plans this week. I'll blog them all... you'll be sick of me.
Lunch: Came home and scrambled eggs with a diced tomato and 1 green onion. I spooned some into a Mission Carb Balance, Fajita-size, Whole Wheat Tortilla with a sprinkle of Mexican Blend Cheese.
I heated it in a pan till it was golden and the cheese was melty. Soooo good.
Took off to the Temecula Community Theater performance of The Wedding Singer. OMG totally cute. If you have a performance of this in your area go see it. I wouldn't take the kids (maybe teens) but adults that grew up in the 80's (Eggface = Class of 1989) will love it.
Dinner: I didn't feel like cooking so I just made a Caprese-ish salad of sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, sliced cucumber, a sprinkle of basil, salt & pepper and watched some TV.
Snacks: Much too much coffee as usual. I had a few samples at the Farmer's Market had to taste test a few fruits before purchasing them. I was planning on having some Strawberries with SF Irish Cream flavored homemade Whipped Cream for dessert but I crashed and woke up all crumpled up on the couch at 3 AM with some infomercial blaring. So yeah if you want your butt to look like a 20 year old Brazilian girl's butt I've got the hook-up ;)
✩★✩ Have a safe Memorial Day everyone. Forever thankful to the heroes this weekend remembers. ✩★✩

Glad you're back with us. Enjoy your holiday.
Hi Shelly! I am starting to get into the bento thing. I think it will help me to plan balanced meals and work harder at my high protein/low carb. I also want to start trying a lot more of your protein sweets recipes - muffins, fudge, pudding etc as my treats. I was wondering if you have nutrition info for your recipes, or at least protein & carb count?
Thanks so much.
Hi Christie, You'll have fun filling the bento. Makes me feel like a kid at recess. It definitely does make you more aware of the proportion of protein to carb, portion size, etc.
On nutritional values... I figure them for almost all my recipes to be sure they are in my plan but I rarely publish them. If you change protein brands, milk fat content, meat fat content, brands of packaged goods, etc. the numbers would swing dramatically plus serving sizes for 2 months, 6 months, 4 years... so I let you guys figure out your #'s with your products. Hit the links and resources page above to learn how to figure out the math part for your version. I stick to the ideas... but if it helps they are all OK in my plan and countless bariatric programs and nutritionists use them in their practices.
I'm a recent RNY patient and I've spent lots of days post op just rooting around your blog... such a rich source of information!
Hey, I'm an 80's girl too!! Graduated 1984 and proud of it!!
Thank you so much for this blog. I love the day in my pouch blogs the best. It is so helpful to see what you are actually eating. I'm pre-op right now but my menu planning for post-op has already started. Thank you again. You really are an inspiration.
